1. Overview
Cheerz is a simple drink-tracking app. You log your drinks, see your own stats, and optionally join a group with friends to compare totals on a leaderboard.
We only collect the minimum data needed to make those features work and to keep the service reliable.
2. What data we collect
- Account data Cheerz primarily supports anonymous sign-in via Firebase Authentication. In some cases you may choose to add a display name or avatar. Those are optional and can be changed or removed.
- Drink logs When you log a drink, we store information such as: date/time, drink type, and basic stats needed to calculate totals and achievements.
- Group data If you create or join a group, we store the group code, the members’ anonymous IDs, and their drink totals so the leaderboard can work.
- Analytics Cheerz uses Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics to understand crashes, performance issues, and general usage patterns (for example, which screens are popular). This data is aggregated and not used to create marketing profiles.
3. How we use your data
- To save your drink history and show your stats over time.
- To power group leaderboards when you join or create a group.
- To maintain security and prevent abuse (for example, rate limiting).
- To fix bugs and improve the app based on crash and usage data.
4. Data sharing
- Service providers – We use Google Firebase (Firestore, Authentication, Analytics, Crashlytics) to host data and process analytics. These services process data on our behalf.
- Friends / groups – When you join a group, other members can see your display name (if set) and your drink totals inside that group.
- No selling of personal data – We do not sell your personal data.
5. Data retention
Your drink history and account data are stored for as long as your account exists. If you stop using the app for a long time, data may eventually be cleaned up as part of maintenance.
You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing maximilianlynch15@gmail.com.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights such as:
- Accessing the data we store about you.
- Requesting correction of inaccurate data.
- Requesting deletion of your account and data.
- Objecting to certain types of processing.
To exercise these rights, contact us at maximilianlynch15@gmail.com.
7. Security
Data is stored using Firebase services, which provide encryption in transit and at rest. No system can be 100% secure, but reasonable measures are taken to protect your data.
8. Children
Cheerz is intended for adults in regions where alcohol consumption is legal. The app should not be used by minors.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated from time to time. When it changes, the “Last updated” date at the top of this section will be adjusted. Significant changes may also be mentioned in the app.
